I Haven't Shampooed in 7 Years!
Occasionally I will share my LOVE for a product or service. Here is a BIG GIANT SMOOCH for WEN. I am not sure what I would do if I had to give it up, but I think scarves would be involved.
OK, I know this is not a shampoo. I (ahem, currently) have red hair and it is curly; add in an oily scalp and this is a recipe for frizzy hair that fades and looks limp when you shampoo and condition using traditional methods.
I have only used salon-based products on my hair for the better part of 30 years: Joico, Paul Mitchell, Pureology, Sebastian, TIGI, Redkin, Matrix and Alterna. I would pin my hopes on the new product to clean my scalp, tame my curls and frizz, and maintain my current color. I was always underwhelmed by the outcome.
Then, 7 years ago with no color in my hair and my hair length nearing my waist, I found WEN. Yes, on an infomercial at 3 a.m. (I have no willpower at that time and yet some of my best purchases come from these moments).
This product allowed my otherwise dry curls to be soft, manageable (less knotting and pulling) and what? NO FRIZZ either?! Clean scalp, what is this craziness? No, this is not a shampoo. It is a cleansing conditioner and I love it and have been a loyal user since September 2006. There are several different varieties for your hair type and the fragrances are yummy!
I have since chopped my virgin hair and sent it to Locks of Love and found an amazing red I adore, that seems to stay with me from salon appointment to salon appointment with little to no fade. Oh and by the way, all other products are gone from my life. No more frizz tamer, gel, mousse, root lift, leave in conditioner, etc… WEN is all I use and maybe a little hairspray on a big hair day. You should try it too.
Infomercial over, you may now resume your regular programming.
Thanks for sharing this Shampoo product! I always wondered how great it would be to try it out on my own hair and now you have answered my question. Love and always look forward to your daily quotes when I’m not busy designing my jewelry or caring for God’s little children which I adore so much.
Love and Blessings to you,
Van
You’ll have to let me know how you like it. Thank you for your kind words and good works.
