The Word for the Day is BALANCE
Spring hit Southern California and we have had weather ranging from 90 degrees, hot dry winds, to rain and 60 degrees within a matter of days. I know we are a bit spoiled with our normal weather patterns. We don’t see the significant weather that other parts of the country do. I am grateful for the fact that I live in such a normally mild climate.
I have to say though, this Spring so far has been anything but mild. To me it has felt like extremes.
I began to think about where I am in my life and I have to say I am still learning BALANCE – even in my mid-forties. That is something that I began striving for when I turned 40. Balance is about acceptance, understanding where you are at all times in a situation, allowing and being present in the moment. When I first began focusing on balance I was sure that I would sail right into it since I wanted it and had the tools to make it happen. I am happy to say that most days in most ways I am balanced.
I have, however, found that balance for me is a journey and not a destination.
Think about the ways you could be more balanced in your life. Pick one to work on and begin today. After all, Spring is about new beginnings. Work on that one item through the next couple of months. See what happens. I bet you begin to see balance in other areas of your life as well.
